The poster refers to them as "M.U.S.C.L.E.: Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere," but to the boys who collected them, they were simply "Muscle guys."

Muscle guys ruled. They were the most basic toys in the world.

Pink, rubber, men.

No moving parts. No complex story lines. Just pink rubber men.

Sure they eventually started to come in colors, but to the purists, they'll always be simply pink rubber men.

I have a special place in my heart for Muscle guys. When I was eight years old, I had to go to the emergency room for some kind of stomach problem. After I was out of school for a few days, my teacher made everybody in my class make get well cards to send to me in the hospital. My best friends each sent one of their favorite Muscle guys with their homemade cards.

Oh man, I'm getting teary eyed. Seriously. It was so touching.

Anyway, this auction includes this poster depicting all of the pink rubber men. It's a bit shabby, especially around the edges, and I marked off some of the ones that I had in pencil, but overall, it's in okay shape.

As a bonus, I'm throwing in the 5 Muscle guys that I found in the attic, including the two awesome little baby guys.
